Welcome to LeiLit as I will traverse this literary world and share my
personal insight on stories I will read thorighout the course of my sophomore
year. In this blog, I will give my intuition on key themes and ideas,
which I will be analyzing in short stories and novels that range in literary
genres. Novels I will discuss include Hamlet, The Namesake, Things Fall
Apart, and Notes from Underground. By reading these novels
throughout the year, we will come to learn our relationships with the
communities around us. One way to accomplish this is by eliminating our
limiting beliefs, which will free us from our fears and enable us to step out
of our comfort zone and find our place in society. This is significant because
isolating ourselves completely form society is simply inexorable. My personal
poems and essays will be shared on this blog along with my notions on
writing. The title heading of my blog alludes towards my name, which
means, "night beauty" in Arabic. We are all shining stars in this
universe of the literary world, and together we will learn to work in unison
serving our communities. Furthermore, my interests include dance, figure
skating, traveling, and listening to music. I have traveled from the most
primitive areas of the world to the most prosperous. I have traveled
to Morocco, Malaysia, Panama, England, France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic,
Iran, Turkey, and Canada. Prior to dancing, I was a professional figure
skater for 8 years and traveled across the nation to compete. My figure skating
career came to an end due to a back injury after eight marvelous years of
leaving my mark on the ice. Because of this injury I had a breakthrough
that I can accomplish anything by surpassing my limiting thoughts and
fears.
